Around the World in 30 Questions

Every year, SEQC has one 'series quiz' – a tournament that spans several days over the course of a few months. The series event planned for October-December 2014 is a quiz-based game called 'Around the World in 30 Questions'.

The essence of the game is to circumnavigate a route marked along the world map shown above, moving ahead by answering questions related to the location you're on. The use of a die to move will bring in an element of luck into the game, while your ability to answer questions will constitute the skill factor.

The tournament begins at 5pm on Sunday October 19 at the International Centre Goa (ICG) in Dona Paula. All those who turn up on the day will individually take a prelims, consisting of a written round of 33 questions to be answered in 20 minutes. All participants will then be divided into six teams based on their scores, and go on to play the first round of 'Around the World in 30 Minutes'. The teams will remain constant over the course of the tournament.

Additional details about the game are provided here, and you're welcome to check them out if you like.

The event promises to be a world of fun, so land up in large numbers. No registration is required, and all are welcome to come and play, so spread the word.
